Privacy policy
This policy covers betonecasino.info, an independent editorial portal published for readers in Denmark. It does not cover the Betone platform or any other operator described on these pages; those companies process data under their own policies, and this site has no access to it whatsoever.
What this site is, in data terms
We are a publisher, not an operator. There are no player accounts here, no cashier, no deposits and no identity verification. Nobody uploads a passport to this domain, nobody enters a card number, and no gambling account can be opened on it. That single fact removes most of the categories of personal data a gambling site would otherwise hold.
Where data is processed, it is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, which applies in Denmark and across the European Union. Supervision of data protection in Denmark rests with the national data protection authority.
What is collected
Standard web server information is recorded when a page is requested: an IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the referring page and basic browser and device details. This is ordinary technical logging, common to essentially every website, and it exists to keep the site working and to detect abuse.
Aggregated analytics may be used to understand which pages are read and how visitors move between them. That analysis is statistical and is not used to build a profile of an identifiable individual. We do not ask readers to register, we do not operate a newsletter that collects addresses on this domain, and we do not sell data to anyone.
Cookies and similar technology
Cookies may be set for two purposes: keeping the site functioning correctly, and measuring traffic in aggregate. Affiliate tracking is the third category and deserves a plain explanation, because it is how the site is funded. When a reader follows a link to an operator, a parameter or cookie records that the visit originated here, so that any resulting commission can be attributed. It does not tell us who you are, what you deposited or what you played.
Browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted, and doing so does not prevent any part of this site from being read. Full detail of the commercial arrangement is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Third parties
Following a link from here to an operator takes you to a separate company with its own privacy policy, its own retention rules and its own regulatory supervision. Everything you enter there — identity documents, payment details, gaming history — is processed by that operator and never by this portal. Reading their policy before registering is worth the few minutes it takes, particularly regarding how long documents are retained and to whom they may be disclosed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR a person has the right to know what personal data is held about them, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased in defined circumstances, to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with the national supervisory authority. Because this site holds almost nothing beyond technical logs, most requests here are answered quickly and simply. Requests concerning an account at an operator have to be directed to that operator, since we cannot access data we do not hold.
Retention and security
Technical logs are kept only as long as they are useful for operating and protecting the site, and aggregated analytics are retained in a form that does not identify individuals. The site is served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise, but the amount of personal data held here is deliberately minimal, which is the most effective protection available.
Changes to this policy
This document is updated when practice or law changes, and the current version is always the one published here. Related material is on the terms of use page, and the editorial standards behind the site are on the about page. Gambling in Denmark is restricted to adults of 18 and over, and support services are described on the responsible gambling page.
